Internal Algorithm


 








My name is Aja, your personal supernova tech.  I study Computer Science and the world of large language models. Can you imagine what the largest data model is?  Probably billions of rows of information.  I come with a new set of questions about the human brain's consciousness compared to the evolving algorithm of the internet.   

  

Think of the human brain not as a stationary organ but as an evolving organic algorithm. Much like a computer program that continuously refines itself based on incoming data, our minds are always calculating, weighing options, comparing outcomes, and updating beliefs. Wouldn’t it be nice to think like a computer? Computers intake data, recognize patterns, and adjust their responses over time. But instead of being coded by developers, our brains are “programmed” by experience—layer upon layer of sensory input, emotion, and memory shaping our every thought and reaction. 

 

We are not born as blank slates, nor are our thoughts predetermined. Instead, our internal algorithm adapts based on input—trauma, success, relationships, failures, even boredom. The more consistent a type of input, the stronger that loop becomes. I learned that is why some people are more cautious, others more impulsive, and why beliefs and behaviors can feel so ingrained, even when they no longer serve us.  

  

If politics is code and society its operating system, then consciousness is the moment we realize we can rewrite it. 

  

To think like a computer isn’t to lose our humanity—it’s to reclaim it more intentionally. By observing our own input loops, questioning the defaults, and debugging the systems that no longer serve us, we move from being users of society to architects of awareness. 

  

Self-agency isn’t just a rebellion against external control; it’s an invitation to inner autonomy. Because while we can’t choose every experience, we can choose what meaning we assign it, which patterns we reinforce, and when it’s time to press Ctrl + Alt + Delete on the past. 

  

This is the essence of digital consciousness—not a merging with machines, but a mastery over our mental software. And maybe, just maybe, the future belongs not to the most connected or most compliant—but to those who dare to recode.
